Why inscription fees ?
THE ART FARM GALLERY is a nonprofit organization legally registered as a private entity. To conserve its independence and impartiality, it accepts neither donations nor private/public funding of any sort.
To cover the logistic & material cost of this exhibit, as well as international banking charges, it charges a minimal inscription fee accessible to all pockets.
General Information:
The contest’s theme is: « My global warming »
- It addresses itself to painters and draftsmen/women, using the following media:
Pencil (graphite) on paper
Water colors (aquarelle) on paper
Oil and gouache on canvas
Maximum size: 27 ½ - 39 ¾ inches (70 -100 CM)
(No minimum size)
- Submissions must include minimum 3, maximum 5 images.
These are of: $ 25 - € 20
A jury composed of 4 professionals and 1 non professional (The later representing the general public) will select the 10 winnings works (See under “Jury” for details.)

THE ART FARM GALLERY will notify the media (Press, TV, radio) of the contest results and the issuing exhibit and invite it to take notice on location.
It will also notify its partners & clients and welcome them to the exhibit.
We know your art is precious to you: Rest assured that THE ART FARM GALLERY will carefully unpack & repack it for you.
Each submission must be titled, dated, include dimension in inches or centimeters and the suggested sales price (If a sale is hoped for, prices should not exceed $3000 but it’s not an obligation)
Inscription procedure:
By e-mail:
Fill out the inscription form and send it. You will promptly be given a reference number, which will appear on your screen.
Send all your materials (photos, CV, etc.) with your reference number
Pay the inscription fee, making sure the payment includes your reference number.
You will receive confirmation of your entry into the contest upon reception of your inscription fee.
By post mail:
Fill out the inscription form.
Put it in an envelope with your photos, CV, etc.
Pay the inscription fee, and include the proof of payment in the envelope. (see how to proceed under “Inscription fees”)

Laureates:
- The winning works will notably be presented on The Art Farm’s internet site before and during the exhibit as well as during the following month.
- The 10 winning works will be exposed from the 24th to the 30th June 2011 at the “L’Espace Rembrandt” in Geneva, Switzerland.
1rst prize
- The winning work will be showed at the exhibit.
- THE ART FARM GALLERY retains no % on the sale price, in case of sale.
- The 1rst prize wins a week free room & board at an Environmental Research Station in the Mont-Blanc Conservation Zones, in the State of Valais, Switzerland (see www.wildassociation.ch for information about the area)
- The artist will be given a certification that he or her won first prize of « THE ART FARM GALLERY, INTERNATIONAL JURIED ART EXHIBITION 2011» at Geneva/Switzerland
2nd prize:
- The winning work will be showed at the exhibit.
- THE ART FARM GALLERY retains no % on the sale price, in case of sale.
- The artist will be given a certification that he or her won second prize of « THE ART FARM GALLERY, INTERNATIONAL JURIED ART EXHIBITION 2011» at Geneva/Switzerland
3rd prize:
- The winning work will be showed at the exhibit.
- THE ART FARM GALLERY retains 10% on the sale price, in case of sale.
- The artist will be given a certification that he or her won third prize of « THE ART FARM GALLERY, INTERNATIONAL JURIED ART EXHIBITION 2011» at Geneva/Switzerland

Jury:
The Art Farm’s International Jury for the contest based on the theme of “My Global Warming” is composed of 5 members:
- An Art Agent
- An Art Collector
- An Art critic
- A Cultural Attaché
- A non professional (representing the general public)

All works must arrive in Geneva before: June 17th 2011
Opening of exhibit: June 24th 2011
All unsold works are to be sent back from Geneva to theirs senders by: July 10th 2011
General Conditions:
1) The artists retain all rights to the property of their images.
THE ART FARM GALLERY, however, reserves itself the right to use the images of the 5 principle laureates to promote The Art Farm site, the competition as well as future competitions, on line and printed publications.
2) THE ART FARM GALLERY is not responsible for violations of the participant’s images by any third party.
3) The winning works must be available for sale and for a rapid transport and expedition to Geneva. Works must arrive in Geneva no later than June 17th 2011.
4) Substitution of laureate works by the winners with other works is not acceptable.
In extreme cases, it takes the signed agreement of 3 jury members to allow such.
5) THE ART FARM GALLERY retains no % on sales for the winners of the first and second prizes, 10% off sales for the 3rd prize winner.
All others laureates have 20% retained off their sales, should such occur.
6) Payment to the artist for sold work takes place within 3 weeks after THE ART FARM GALLERY has been paid in full for it.
7) THE ART FARM GALLERY is responsible for ensuring works only during exhibiting time within “L’Espace Rembrandt” in Geneva.
8) Laureates have 10 days to confirm their participation in the exhibit once they are notified. All original works must arrive at THE ART FARM GALLERY on June 17th at the latest.
9) THE ART FARM GALLERY will answer all participants, whether laureates or not.
10) Inscription fees are not refunded
11) The jury’s decisions and its prize attribution are not revocable. Neither organizer nor jury has any obligation to justify or explain results.
12) In case of litigation, only Swiss law is applicable.
Rules for packing & sending winning works:
- All packing must be solid & reusable
- The expedition and costs of the work from the artist to the gallery and back, (as well as insurance coverage during this time) is the artist responsibility.
- The return mailing/expediting fee must be prepaid from start.
Rules for winning work’s presentation:
- All work on paper must be properly framed behind Plexiglas rather than glass
(THE ART FARM GALLERY will assume no responsibility whatever for damages in case of works framed behind glass.)
- Works on canvas can be presented without a frame but the edges must be cleanly finished and the pain must be totally dry.
- Behind each winning’s works the following must be solidly affixed to the frame
